Arguing Texting and Driving
Now that I am writing a longer essay on this subject, I will be clearing up more things that I didn't get to in my other paper. I would like to explore the economic status of technology and how it does run our lives, and texting and driving is just another deadly form of it. I would also like to explore more of the family side of the issue and how it really does affect social life. Some new information that I would like to add would be more statistics about death tolls and other averages of how many do it. I will be using a different source from last time because it wasn't a reliable source. Another issue I will be talking about it the deaths of children to do parents texting and driving. Everyone thinks typically teenagers do most of this, but in reality adults are just as guilty. My Hypothesis for this subject would be something like: If texting and driving was made illegal throughout the country, it would decrease the rate of deaths, injuries, and loses. I will use facts partaking in some states that already do have ban of cellphone use while driving and how it affects people in that states compared to other states. I need more numbers and averages to show the exact death tolls and damage that is done by this subject. I will be using more reliable sources for this next assignment and hopefully show a more respectful understanding of this issue.

What I Can Search for Texting and Driving
In this English course for WT, I have to write about a social issue in the world. Since I have chosen the topic of texting and driving, it is important for me to look up sources on the issue. I looked up different articles and opinions using my schools databases. Texting and driving is a very broad discussion. Many people are for stopping texting and driving while others suggest that its a pointless waste of time because so many people do it already. I plan on discussing on why it is really important to stop this issue and what legal action we can do to prevent further accidents. I want to expose the true threats that come with this issue that aren't all accidents and deaths. I understand, from what I have read, that it is a challenging issue to do such a thing as make it a law to band cellphone use in a vehicle. However, I'm willing to go through many trials and errors to appeal to the people what should be done. It seems like such a light subject, and perhaps it is. But if it saves even one life in this world, then I will be happy.

What Should be Done with Texting and Driving
There is a problem growing in our country. Texting and driving isn't something we particularly think about while we are doing it, until we hit another car that is. Many lives have been lost to this problem. I personally have dealt with this. A mother in her car was texting and driving and almost hit me going through a red light. The saddest part is, she had a baby in the backseat.
What can law enforcement do to help this problem? What can we the people do as citizens to control our desire to answer that last text? What sort of action should be taken by anyone?
For me, my father is a corporal in the Amarillo, TX police department. His personal opinion is that it takes to much time and effort to catch people doing this act. There would be no proof for or against the charge and it is not worth pulling over every suspected vehicle for it. I would have agreed if I wasn't almost killed by it and also having to live knowing that I was there when a mother killed her own child because of a dumb phone. I think that every vehicle suspected of texting should be pulled over. They should get a warning or a ticket depending on the officers decision. When they get the ticket, they should call their phone company and get their phone records. They can go down to the station and prove that at the time of given ticket, there was no texting. The ticket would be removed from record with no fee. It would raise awareness that the police will take action on something like this, and the rate of texting and driving would go down. It would be a start to saving lives. This issue affects us all. No, it's not the number one issue of the world and I understand that. I don't believe that this should be the governments number one priority but it is an issue that should be looked at. So do you think its something to be taken into action, or something that no one should care about because it's never happened to you? Texting and driving does cost the lives of children, mothers, fathers, friends, and families. There is a way to stop it, so we should take it.
